THE FRIENDS STORE IN THE LIBRARY IS OPEN!

The Friends of Salem Public Library is a non-profit organization located in Salem, Oregon and is the public library’s oldest support organization. We operate a store on the first floor of the Salem Public Library at 585 Liberty Street SE. We look forward to seeing you and serving your book, art, and other needs!

Our hours:

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 10:15 am - 5:30 pm

Fridays and Saturdays, 10:15 am - 4:30 pm

Closed Sundays and Mondays.

We have received numerous questions lately on how you can help us and the Salem Public Library. See the list below for our suggestions.

1. Purchase items in our store (located in the library), at our book sales (Spring sale coming up May 2-4) and online through AbeBooks.

2.       Make a monetary donation in our store or on the Donations tab of this website.

3.       Donate your good condition books, art, knick-knacks, and other items for us to sell. Please call us at (503) 362-1755 or email us at SPLfriends@peak.org first to make arrangements.

4.       Become a member of the Friends organization. Please see the Membership tab of this website.

5.       Link your Fred Meyer Rewards Card to Friends of the Salem Public Library (AP456) and help us earn a donation every time you shop.

6.       Volunteer your time in our store, at book sales, or on the Board. Again, please call or email us for more information.

7. Consider a bequest to the Friends of Salem Public Library.
